The Getjar SDK is available to all Android developers with high-quality apps and games. To ensure the health of the Gold economy, the use of the GetJar SDK must conform to GetJar developer terms. 6. What permissions does the Getjar SDK require, and why?
See this page for details of required and recommended permissions to implement the SDK. 7. What updates are required the Android Manifest? Do you support Landscape mode for the Offerwall?
Please refer to this page for Manifest updates. To display the Getjar Offerwall in a landscape mode, just update the activity entry in the manifest as shown on the page. 8. How long does it usually take to integrate the Getjar SDK and implement the Offerwall?
The Getjar SDK and Offerwall implementation typically take 1-3 days. The implementation time can vary based on the complexity of your application, experience with similar integrations. Getjar has patterned the API on Google Play Service to make it easier for you to implement the SDK. 9. Does Getjar support an Offerwall in my currency?
Yes, use SDK Version 4.0 and above for implementing the Offerwall in your currency. Refer to the Documentation for how to implement it. 10. Does Getjar support apps built with cross-platform development toolkits like Unity?
Yes, Getjar supports Unity. Please download the Unity plugin and follow the instructions included in the zipped distribution. 11. How do I get paid?
Getjar pays you monthly within 30 days of the end of the prior month. Minimum SDK earnings of $100 are required for payment in any given month. Should earnings for any month be less then $100, payment will be made subsequent to the month in which aggregate earnings exceed $100. 12. What is the conversion rate from Getjar Gold to USD?
Getjar will pay you a fixed amount of money for every 100 Gold spent in your app. Contact us for further details. 13. How do I price my offer relative to the value that Getjar pays me?
You should price your offer based on what you price it in Google Play; Getjar automatically converts this into equivalent currency amounts. If you are using Getjar Gold, Getjar handles this for you. If you price in your own currency, you can choose an exchange rate relative to the USD. 14. What if I want to change the price of my offer in coins dynamically?
The Getjar SDK operates according to whatever price your app designates. If you hard code the price of your offer into your app, then the only way to change the price is to upgrade the app. If you allow the price of the offer to change dynamically, as your servers designate to your live apps, then this change in price flows through automatically to the SDK. So if you want to be able to change the price dynamically, this function should be coded into the app and your servers on your side in advance of SDK deployment. 15. Is the Getjar SDK an incentivized program?
No. GetJar Offerwall is a loyalty program used to reward users for engagement. In incentivized advertising, the consumer is shown different reward amounts based on the Advertiser’s price, not the quality of the apps and is designed to increase any apps chart position in the app stores. Getjar is not focused on chart position and PPI campaigns, so users are rewarded based on quality apps and their ability to engage users. 16. Does this SDK Conflict with the Google Play Terms Of Service?
Section 2.2 of the Google Play Dev Terms specifically say:
“You may not use the Market to distribute or make available any Product whose primary purpose is to facilitate the distribution of software applications and games for use on Android devices outside of the Market.”
The Getjar SDK doesn’t conflict with Google’s non-compete clause because all of the downloads that are driven from your app are directed to apps in the Google Play store. All aspects of the SDK exist within Google Play. For this reasons, the Getjar SDK does not conflict with the Google Play terms of service.
